I participate in a CSA (community supported agriculture) with @bialasfarms, so I always have spectacular veggies on hand. Found a fun and delicious way to use spaghetti squash! Turn them into a fritter using the air fryer! Had a lot of zucchini, used them to make muffins. Food is meant to fuel us. Choose wisely.

Orchids have a reputation of being difficult to maintain; a delicate flower that requires just the right care. The rest of my houseplants are supposed to be easy-peasy, no worries! My niece gave me this stunning orchid three years ago and it has bloomed and thrived a million times over. My “easy” peace lily has yet to sprout a flower in the years I’ve had it (though it’s still alive!). I guess it just goes to show that sometimes, the things we think are the most delicate can be the strongest, and the ones that seem easy might need a little more love and patience. Kind of like people, right? It’s all about the care we give and the environment we create for growth. 🌸

When it comes to scheduling your hair appointments online, please remember:

1. Highlights (even if touching up) and Root Retouches are not the same.
2. The overall process and necessary timing needed for Highlights are dramatically different than that of a Root Re-touch.
3. Please DO NOT schedule alternative services to make an appointment time ‘fit’
4. If you DO #3, understand that you may not get the results you’re expecting

Hair grows from your scalp right?

Not from the top of it, but from within (which is where all our health talk comes from)!

But we’re constantly preaching about the importance of getting regular trims to support hair growth.. but it just doesn’t make sense!

Hence, the confusion.

We’re hard on our hair and it’s more fragile than we give it the grace to be…

As hair grows, is styled, colored, pulled up, let down, washed, etc; it is getting damaged, wracking up split ends and potentially breaking off

If you skip or stretch the time between trims, your hair might be getting longer but it probably won’t stay that way or look as healthy

If your hair breaks off faster than it’s growing, you won’t be gaining any length at all!

So to sum all that up:

Keeping your hair trimmed, helps it look and feel healthy because you’re greatly reducing its opportunity to break and split!
